Holland Video — Biking Is A “Way Of Life” (The Original Cool)

Below is a fun (& funny) video about Holland. Of course, biking is highlighted a bit. Biking makes life so much cooler, easier, more relaxed and carefree. It is used in (non-car) advertisements of all kinds simply to stick a cooler and more positive image on the product being sold. With bicycling at the center …

The bicycle drive-in allows the coffee enjoyment, without getting off the bike. Idea, design, implementation: Serranetga AG Pretty cool. …

Some bicycle enthusiasts in Copenhagen recently came up with a great idea — organizing bike rides in the city for the elderly, via pedicabs. The new group, called “Cykling uden alder,” or “Cycling Without Age,” is providing free bike rides around the city to the elderly, hopefully helping to improve their quality of life. Those …

Cargo Bikes, Familes, Redefining Material Wisdom

Our Love Affair from Car (passé) to Family Cargo Bike (Shifting Transport Identity) Identities portrayed in material items can be psychologically charged, and they are constantly shifting. Cars as the only significant statement portraying one’s identity is a positive way are becoming passé; scooters and bikes are becoming more viewed as images of identity imparting a thoughtful gas-conscious choice, representing a kinder experience, more …

Eye-Catching Visibelt — Vibrant Protection for Cyclists, Runners, Pedestrians at Night

I love the way this attention-getting, eye-catching, visibelt for cyclists, runners, pedestrians, and any night-time traveler is made of energy-efficient LED lights; spinning out from one’s body like an aura. I want one. It would go great with an actual “Aura” system on my wheels when biking at night. This visibelt will bring bright notice of me or you as …

Switzerland + Bikes = Beautiful & Awesome

Switzerland looks like one of the prettiest countries in the world. It’s got an amazing quality of life. And I heard recently that it has NEVER been in debt. Wow. I think the U.S. could learn a lesson or two from this leading country (starting with: DON’T POUR YOUR MONEY INTO WARS & “DEFENSE”).

The Bike Store Guys (& Gals)

Who doesn’t love small, independent bike shops (other than big, corporate bike shop chains, that is…)? But for those of us who travel or move around a lot (and I think that’s most people these days), it can be hard to find such bike shops in new cities (ok, not that hard, but not always that easy either). Additionally, in some places, there’s no independent, local bike shop at all. The Bike Store Guys is a website that links up many of these shops, though, and helps create a broader community of such bike shop owners and lovers, for people across the U.S. Here’s more from their website
